Synopsis:

This is the Chinese version. Aladdin is crippled with a leg injury from childhood. He falls in love with Jade the daughter of a rich local man who will not permit them to see each other. Jade has not fallen in love with Aladdin though she does like him. Aladdin goes off to seek his fortune and finds the cave, the genie in the lamp and the slave of the ring. His wishes come true, one of which is to cease to be crippled and he becomes rich. But his personality changes with his fortune and he is not a nice person. The other wish made Jade love him but she loves him as an automaton with the spell and not with her heart. Jade is poisoned by the wicked Avasneezer and the only way she can be saved is for Aladdin to give up his wishes (he will be crippled and poor). He does so . Jade then loves him with her heart. Her parents are so grateful to Aladdin for giving up everything to save her that they let the lovers marry.

Set in late August 1939 just before the outbreak of WW2 the Germans are trying to find the location of Royal Navy ships in the south Atlantic so they can be sunk when war is declared. The British are aware of this and have devised a plan for feeding in false information. The RN commander involved is murdered. An investigation unfolds as to whodunit and why?

Synopsis:

The young Princess Rose is cursed by the wicked Bityerbum because this wicked fairy was not invited to the christening. On her eighteenth birthday Rose pricks her finger on a spinning wheel and falls asleep for a hundred years with only the three good fairies for company. She is rescued by the brave Prince Georgeous and they go to live in his land and marry and have two children. Unfortunately, Georgeous's step mother is a cannibal and while Georgeous is away on business she attempts to eat Rose and the children but is fooled into eating a lamb and a rat by the woodcutter's wife. When the wicked step mother finds out she has been fooled Georgeous returns just in time to save his wife and children.
