Synopsis: Based on the true story of actress Rita Karpinovicz (Rita Karin), The Company of Angels tells the story of a group of young actors in the Yiddish theater who find each other after the holocaust and create a touring company in Eastern Europe. Beginning in Lodz, Poland, the company tours to the urban centers where survivors come looking for news of family and friends. With a dramatic and musical revue called "Yesterday and Today", they rehearse under impossible conditions, but the young people are finally able to bring Yiddish language and culture back to the surviving Jews, along with a message of hope. | ||||

Synopsis: The Dog with the Head of a Dragon is based on a true story about two women, one American and one Chinese, who were friends and roommates at MIT in the late 1940's and then lost contact with each other when the Chinese woman, Gao Xiang, returned to China to join Mao's revolution. Before the events at Tiennanmen Square the American woman, Jenny, becomes convinced that her friend has survived and starts on a journey to find her and to refind herself and their past together. The play is about that search, moving back and forth in time and ending in Tienanmen Square just before the demonstrations. | ||||
