Synopsis:
Colin Lester, a Drama Student returning home, senses skeletons in the previous generation's cupboard, about which even his mother, Alice seems reluctant to talk. Why does workaholic, religion-obsessed uncle Simon try so desperately to preserve his young daughter's fancied innocence to the extent of banning Alice in Wonderland from her reading? And why his morbid fear of paedophiles? At an informal business meeting called by Simon, Colin plays a probing game which involves his aunt Stella which evokes startling confessions. But the biggest surprise is provided by a business rival of Simon's who has called to settle an overdue account.

Synopsis:
Retired business-man Harry Tinsley is playing Chess with Solicitor friend Alec Grillom. He is bored and longs for old colleagues, particularly the women. The game is interrupted by the entry of his wife, Janet. She is in a rage, chiefly though not wholly on account of having just seen a play presented by a group of young offenders which is an uncomfortably-near-the-truth portrayal of Harry and his friends. Immediate litigation is discussed, but Harry relents when the charming author and one of her charges pays him a visit, and an accident obliges her to offer him a part. Alec however has different ideas, and Harry is deprived of his role, and left sadder but no wiser to be revitalised by a stranger.

Synopsis:
At Sunnyhaven, a home for the elderly, there is friction and heartache. Few residents like the eccentric, dictatorial Matron or, at times, each other, and the staff have mixed feelings. When a martinet resident makes an official complaint to the Health Authority and an Inspector pays a surprise visit during a crisis, undercurrents of emotion come to the surface. The decorative glass dome becomes a symbol of unbearable suffering and is smashed to pieces in a hysterical attack. Surprising revelations of strengths and weaknesses follow as it becomes known that the refuge is to be closed.

Synopsis:
Ageing Minister, Martin is at a crossroads. Christ kept company with publicans and sinners, and envying unrepentant reprobate Colin, he occasionally joins him at the "local", to the disapproval of ascetic, religious wife Frankie, who, shocked by a fatal drink-driving accident, is preaching prohibition. Her ranting incites to violence. Martin, catching a youth breaking pub windows, intervenes and is severely injured, but attractive barmaid Iris renders First Aid to heart as well as body. Frankie, enraged, storms in polarising strong opinions during which Martin, renouncing faith and fidelity, declares love to be the sweetest wine of all.
