Jami Brandli's plays include Technicolor Life, BLISS (or Emily Post is Dead!), the Sinker, M-theory as well as shorter works. Her work has been produced and developed at HotCity Theatre, Boston Center for the Arts, WordBRIDGe, AsHLAnd New Plays Festival, the Lark, New York Theatre Workshop, Great Plains Theatre Conference, Moving Arts, Milwaukee Rep, Rogue Machine Theatre, among other venues. She received the John Gassner Memorial Playwriting Award and Holland New Voices Award and was a finalist for the Princess Grace Award and O'Neill National Playwrights Conference. In addition, she was a contributing writer for the elliot Norton Award-Winning production of PS: Page Me Later, a finalist for the Disney ABC TV Writing Fellowship, and a Visiting Playwright for the 2009 Athe Conference. Her short plays are published with Smith & Kraus. Jami lives in Pasadena, CA, where she's at work on scripts for both stage and screen and a novel. Synopsis:
Moving backwards in time, the relationship between Lucy and Tucker, her living rag doll, man unfolds in Lucy's attic. Through their relationship, we also discover the relationships Lucy has with her mother, father, and husband.

BLISS (or Emily Post is Dead!)

Synopsis:
It's 1960 in North Orange, NJ. Clytemnestra and Medea are now housewives with a pill addiction, and Antigone is the teenage girl next door who is in love with a black boy. On the surface, they're seemingly blissful to follow the "rules of emily Post, the American author famous for writing on etiquette. But that's just the surface. then Cassandra, a black working girl, moves into in their neighborhood and all routines are interrupted. Cassandra is determined to finally break the curse of Apollo, the gorgeous and egotistical god who gave her this gift of prophecy but made it so no one would ever believe her. He makes it clear his curse is practically indestructible: all she has to do is convince someone to believe her. Can Cassandra convince them they now have a choice in this modern era? That they don't have to live a doomed existence? Can all four women escape their ongoing fate?

Flooding

Synopsis:
B and C try to take a simple drive to a coffee shop. But there's a problem. B has a phobia of cars, and C has a phobia of small spaces. As the two phobics struggle to put the key in the ignition and close the door, they end up bearing their hearts and falling for each other.

Looking for Bruce

Synopsis:
After posting her "Lost Cat" flyers all over town, Geraldine finds her recently estranged house cat, Bruce, on his birthday. During the last ten days of living on the streets, Bruce has discovered there's more to life than just Fancy Feast and catnip. Geraldine desperately wants him back, but Bruce wants her new boyfriend out of the picture first.

Moon Man

Moon Man
In the middle of the night, Lilith, a difficult widow, is visited by Moon Man, who has traveled from the moon to keep her company. Although Lilith tells Moon Man to leave, she is torn between wanting him to actually go and wanting him to stay. So she calls her son, Frankie, pretending that the house is on fire. When Frankie arrives, he cannot see Moon Man and finally reaches the end of his patience with his mother's lying.

Synopsis:
It's the near future and a massive solar flare storm is headed toward earth. Pauline waits and works with her daughter Ava in a remote cabin in the woods. Ava begs to be let out of the cabin. the storm arrives. A young girl's single-engine plane is sucked out of the sky. . .and everything changes for Pauline.

Technicolor Life

Synopsis:
Billie, a young female Iraq War soldier, loses her left hand due to an IeD and is sent home. Her book smart teenage sister, Maxine, and her mother attempt to help Billie transition back to civilian life, but she doesnt want it and refuses to talk about her war experience. On the sly, Maxine reads Billies journal from Iraq and learns about her sisters secret lover as well as a lascivious Captain. then Franny, their wise-cracking grandmother, moves into the household with her twenty wigs, love for American Musicals, wine coolers, and cigarettes. Franny suggests to Maxine that Billie will be happy again once she falls in love. With the help of her new imaginary friendsLorelei Lee and Dorothy Shaw from Gentlemen Prefer BlondesMaxine secretly creates Billies online dating profile and sets her up with another disabled vet, Jake. Meanwhile, the family is thrown for a loop when Franny announces that she will be ending her life with assistance from the Final exit Network. Her cancer has returned, and she wants her family to support her final wish by throwing her a good-bye party. This threatens to tear the family even further apart. Maxine is caught in the middle and has to grow up fast.
