Synopsis: | An abusive ex-husband, charged with the murder of his son, breaks into his old home soon after escaping from prison to avenge his court-mandated ex-wife. To him, she has been holding a secret that he is certain will prove his innocence for the murder of their son, and will stop at nothing to get her to admit it. As the play progresses, the audience becomes a witness to the events that led up to the killing of the boy through the eyes of each character as the action passes back and forth in time, creating a high-octane, heavy dramatic "he said-she said" battle for the truth. The action examines in grueling detail, how she fought to protect her son from her abusive husband, a social worker who didn't believe her and the emotional struggle she must endure to start her life anew after the death of her son. Inspired by real events from women who survived domestic violence, this play is a moving, thought provoking true story. | |||||
