I have been employed full time in theatre (adult's and children's), musical, and opera productions in Ireland since 1998, with many companies, from fringe to professional (abbey & Peacock, River Productions, Fishamble, Rough Magic, Focus, Wexford Festival Opera, Opera Ireland, Common Currency, Second age, etc.). I have worked in most theatres both in Dublin and around Ireland. My duties vary from stage directing to propping, to operating sound and lights, to costume and set design. I was employed in the National Theatre for a couple of years during the centenary celebrations, ending with a tour to London and Cork. In 1999 I oversaw the translation from Italian to English of the monologue "1900: the Pianist on the Ocean", that toured Ireland for about six months.

1900 (The Pianist On The Ocean)

1900 (The Pianist On The Ocean)

Synopsis:
1900 is the story of a great jazz pianist who is found as a newborn baby on a transatlantic ship on the first day of the twentieth century and is baptised thus. 1900 is a man without parents, nationality or identity. Never setting foot ashore, his home is the sea and his language is the music he plays on the ship's piano. The other character in the story, the Narrator, recreates the atmosphere on the ship, 1900's peculiar childhood, 1900's decision to leave the ship and their meeting after the Second World War on the ship, which is about to be blown up, with 1900 on it.
