Synopsis: | A female toothpick manufacturer hires a female artist to paint the ceiling of her unbuilt factory. The artist brings along her male model, a silent fauri who mimes many roles. The style is non- naturalistic, but coherent and light-hearted. This is the second play of the author's in-progress Cartoon Trilogy. "I call these "cartoons" because I want to indicate that I have no wish to recreate reality but prefer to comment upon it instead. The cartoon seems a delightful, efficient and true-blue American art form that gives me maximum freedom and elbow room." | |||||
