Seems that every male and female in Wonderland is either in love/lust with her or wants her dead, or in many cases, both. What THIS Alice has to learn is how to do it on her own. And she does.

Full cast version is optional (5w, 3m)

Notes:

Originally, 1 woman plays Eula, 2 men play all other roles. To produce a full cast version (optional), 3m & 5w. Will NEVER allow an all-male version of the show again. It becomes all-camp drag (a little is okay), instead of a show about fascinating characters.

Synopsis:

Watch the Mae clan as they try to help 29-year-old senior Rita try for Miss Alabama crown, get Eula married off to the man that's courted her for 12 years, keep pageant coach Sue-Sue Daniels from drunken embarrassment (they fail miserably), help Tammy Wynette-wannabe Eva through her divorce, and keep Momma and her mouth out of trouble (they don't succeed here, either). o "There's a lot of good-natured humor here and an endearing bittersweet optimism." - The New York Times o "You'll laugh so hard your stomach will hurt." - Etc. Magazine o "Exuberant, and it's worth a look for this reason alone: it is a wonderful play about celebrating difference and glorying in the weirdness that makes us human. This is a funny, heartwarming evening." - About.com o "An uproarious Southern comedy. Clever writing and impressive turns." - The Atlanta Journal-Constitution o "Comedic brilliance and virtuosity." - Backstage Magazine

The play contains 17 distinct characters and the actor must be able to switch roles on a dime for the entire hour+ of the play.

Synopsis:

DRAMA DESK AWARD nomination for Best Solo Performance, 2009, the play is a novel come to cinematic life onstage. "There are 5,218 people living in Aberdeen, Mississippi. This is a play about 17 of them. And the men that caused all the trouble" Young women are disappearing from town but Viola Haygood is completely unaware as she's fallen head-over-heels for the mysterious stranger in town. When Viola vanishes from Big Otis' saloon one night, the hunt is on, including a 4-way fight between villains and our reluctant hero, car chases, cinematic June bugs, and characters who (themselves) are in disguise! Love, of course, is what wins. o "If Tennessee Williams had written a one-man Greater Tuna about a Mississippi town as a showcase for a chameleonic talent, the result would be as poetic and sadly funny as Novel, a nuanced tour de force." - Columbus Dispatch o I'm not sure why Mr. Blocker chose the word "Gothic" as part of the title. His wacky play feels a lot more like Dixie noir." - The New York Times o "Funny. Very funny. And then some. Unique and utterly brilliant, it is a must-see for anyone interested in innovative, beyond-the-fringe theater." - The Philadelphia Bulletin

Synopsis:

A week in the life of an Atlanta hotel room in the Fall of 1995. Monica was still unknown and the Olympics were a twinkle in the town's eye. The play is Atlanta as seen through the eyes of its visitors which include a small-town politician walking into a prostitution sting, two snowbird sisters from Long Island stopping through on their way to Florida, two conventioneers that find the problems caused by lose lips, the completely androgynous L.A. casting director, and it wouldn't be the South without a pageant-mom-from-hell to wrap things up. In the style of Neil Simon (and an homage to his work), we see America before much of its innocence would be lost. And there's enough short scenes to thrill the less-than-attentive theatre goers of today.

Synopsis:

Rose and her middle-aged son Ronnie befriend a young New Yorker in an outer-borough subway station very early one morning. The play is a slow "seduction" by Rose of the young woman (-not meaning sexually). When Jessie finally lets her guard down, Rose rises from her wheelchair and we learn that Rose is really a monster in lamb's clothing.
