Synopsis: A wedding - its conception, planning and execution - is a cute enough theme for a musical, cramming all the usual stations of the marital cross (confused proposal, stag and hen nights, randychief bridesmaid, and so on) into its two hours. At the centre of the story is the egocentric Bernadette, who steamrolls her boyfi-iend, Dave, into popping the question after she's won an all-expenses wedding in a radio competition. In one funny early scene Dave's flatmate Chas laments the end of a beautiful friendship, albeit one negotiated largely via Playstation. At a similar loose end is Bernadette's defiantly single sister Clara, while, orbiting further out, are a pair of couples - one older, one young, but satirically perfect - who comment pithily on the action.
