Brooke Berman. Brooke Berman's work has been produced at The Second Stage, Steppenwolf Theatre Company in Chicago, The Play Company, the Humana Festival at Actors Theatre of Louisville, SPF, The Round Table Ensemble, and Naked Angels. Readings and workshops include both The National Theatre and The Royal Court Theatre in London, The O'Neill Playwrights Conference, The Children's Theatre Company, A.S.K. Theater Projects, Rattlestick, The Hourglass Group, The Women's Project, the Denver Center Theater Company, Soho Rep, HERE, Williamstown Theater Festival, and the Juilliard School. Upcoming productions include the world premiere of Hunting and Gathering at Primary Stages in NYC, February 2008. Brooke is the recent recipient of a Berilla Kerr award, and has received a Helen Merrill Award, two Francesca Primus awards, a Lila Acheson Wallace American Playwrights Fellowship at the Juilliard School, two Lecomte du Nouy awards, and a commissioning grant from the National Foundation for Jewish Culture. Ms. Berman was Director of the Playwrights Lab the MCC Youth Company, where she taught playwriting to New York City public high school students. She is a member of New Dramatists, Rising Phoenix Rep, and the Dramatists Guild, and is a graduate of the Juilliard School.
