Synopsis:

Mrs Birchwood allows no betting in her pub - but this does not stop the regulars. One evening she is talking about the poem "The Albatross" and the regulars see this as a sign because there is a horse with that name in a race the next day. Many bets are taken. Mrs Birchwood is put out when she discovers this and that her daughter has placed a bet too. But the horse looses
