CHAD BECKIM is a playwright, actor, and co-founder and co-Artistic Director of Partial Comfort Productions, a New York-based theatre company. He was born and raised in Monmouth, Maine. He has a BFA in Theatre from Utica College of Syracuse University, where he studied with Scott Macdonald and Jerry Weiss. As an actor, he trained with Maggie Flanigan. Chad's plays include . . .a matter of choice and 'nami (both directed by John Gould Rubin and produced by Partial Comfort Productions), and Lights Rise on Grace, as well as a number of short plays. His acting credits include the OBIE Award winning Benton Kozo, directed by Jim Simpson (The Flea Theater, 1999), Craft by Sam Marks (Partial Comfort Productions, 2002), American Ma(u)l (Reverie Productions, 2003) and Booty Candy (Partial Comfort Productions, 2003), both written and directed by Robert O'Hara. Chad lives on the Lower East Side of Manhattan, where he is currently adapting . . .a matter of choice for the screen.
