Meanwhile the play had received its first production, and was no longer unproduced, so the bio in the periodical was revised to indicate the production of the play.
Synopsis:

Synopsis:
Set against a backdrop of civil rights demonstrations, the play takes place in an African-American neighborhood in 1963. A black door-to-door salesman who peddles credit on electric kitchen gadgets goes to great lengths to regain his influence over customers and companions when they rebel, only to find that the costs of the whole ordeal are great for all involved. Added to the salesman's costs is the likely destruction of his marriage, resulting from his adulterous affair.
