Literary Agent:  n/a

Angus Barr trained at the Poor School before co-founding Ridiculusmus, with whom he worked for five years. He then made a string of short films before returning to theatre with his ecological satire, I Can't Believe It's Not Godard! In 2005 he created the musical, Wink the Other Eye, for Wiltons Music Hall, which plays there again this summer. When not working with Gonzo Moose he tries to be artistic director of Bristol-based touring theatre company, Publick Transport. He is also one half of cabaret act, The Banjulele Brothers, though some may prefer to remember him as the keyboard player from 80s pop band, The Pet Dolphins.

Publick Transport tackles the thorny issue of economic hardship with the mangled secateurs of melodrama, in this hilarious study of theatrical incompetence. In their desperation to be zeitgeisty, a trio of performers present the topical story of a humble couples downfall at the hands of a loan-shark, but with personal differences getting in the way, things dont quite go to plan. A deftly daft take on the banking crisis for our very hard times, with thrills, chills and accidental laughs galore.

A story of human survival in the face of absurdity. Be amazed by the daring prison escapes, gasp at the deadly guillotine, and wonder at the wise mans constantly moving beard. Beresford Jones is having a very bad day. He's just been arrested and no one will tell him why. Now he must negotiate the torture mad policemen, over zealous librarians, pop singing lawyers to prove his innocence, avoid execution, win his freedom and the girl. Gonzo Moose is joined by Angus Barr (Ridiculusmus) and Clare Thomson (Piggy Nero) in this fast paced and thrilling production full of hilarious verbal and physical slapstick, creating a deliriously irreverent and anarchic world where anything can happen and frequently does.
