Davis Alianiello cultivated an interest in writing at a young age. Pencil in hand, the young lad spent many a day scratching out lengthy conversations that never happened between colourful characters who never existed. Eventually certain persons had the intellectual fortitude to decipher Davis' poor penmanship and they encouraged him to type his fictitious fantasies. The result was his first play, a one-act political satire entitled The Moustache, which was successfully produced in 2007. Mr. Alianiello continues to indulge in this silliness, and he creates works of theatre regularly. He resides in Providence, Rhode Island.

Synopsis:

In order to improve his confidence and boost his public image, mild-mannered Chancellor Phil Stevenson decides to grow a moustache. The idea is wildly successful until Phil's moustache begins talking to him. What follows is a darkly satirical tale of corruption, with the previously meek Phil becoming a power-hungry fiend under the direction and guidance of his Machiavellian moustache.
