Synopsis: | This is a story of a Bangladeshi-American woman who decides to embark on her own version of Jihad, which essentially entails a great deal of drinking and a dubious art project. She initially embarks on this journey out of anger at the Islamic faith, which she feels no place for her, and at her inability to be both American and Muslim. Eventually, the "jihad" leads her to reclaim Islam and allows her to fashion an American identity. | |||||
