Publicist: PublicistSharronJ@gmail.com. Nicole Zylstra is a professional performer/writer/improviser/director living and working in Calgary for the past ten odd years. As a writer she has been commissioned by the likes of Lunchbox Theatre (the Betty Mitchell Best New Play Nominated Monkey Business) and Vertigo Theatre (Innocent Blood), and Edmonton's Unconscious Collective (Congo Song), not to mention Fringe Hits "Camille on Wheels" and "Oh,Jesus! - a love story." Her first solo show, "FIREBIRD: 220 Horses of the Apocalypse" toured successfully across Canada as part of the Fringe Festival circuit, making stops at Montreal, Thunder Bay, Edmonton and Vancouver, and also appeared for 2 nights at Toronto's famed Second City. Her next solo, EFFable, rocked Calgary's Solocentric Festival and was Pick of the Fringe at Edmonton's Fringe A-Go-Go (2005). She is currently playwright-in-residence at Edmonton's Northern Light Theatre, and was one of the commissioned playwrights in Northern Light's recent 2005 edition of Urban Tales: Possession.
