Synopsis: | In this all-singin', all-dancin' musical update of the Sir George Etheredge classic "The Man of Mode", song-and-dance man Farnie Fenshaw plays the fop so shapely showgirls will think he's "safe". Meanwhile, leading man David Dorimant needs a pretext to break off his engagement to a middle-class widow so he can cast bait for Harriet, a wealthy heiress who's his biggest fan. All of which, in true MGM fashion, is only an excuse for high romance, low comedy and the old soft-shoe. 12 original songs in a normal range with simple piano and guitar accompaniment, in that swingin' Rat Pack style! | |||||
