Louis Verneuil was born Louis Colin du Bocage on May 14th 1893. He wrote over sixty plays and a number of screenplays. He was at one time married to Sarah Bernhardt's grand daughter Lysiane Bernhardt. On November 3rd 1952 he slashed his throat and was found dead in his bath.
