Synopsis: | Four stories. Four writers. Four generations of Hull. They say that some objects have a habit of finding a way to their natural owners. When Elsie Templeman bought a sovereign ring in Hull in 1941, she could never have believed the journey that ring had already taken or would take - and through whose lives, hearts - and stomachs - it would pass, before that owner was revealed. From the Hull Blitz to the day The Beatles came to Hull, from the heady days of 1987 to a time two years in the city's future, the play features four spellbinding stories of love, fun and heartache covering four generations of life in this wonderful city and beyond. Ring Around the Humber is as life-affirming and joyous as Hull itself. | |||||
