| Synopsis: | Four middle-aged women get together every week, ostensibly to play cards and dissect/reflect upon their own and each other's lives. Enter Mike, the 20-something son of the main character, a dog walker by profession, who brings his "punk" female girlfriend (Pinky) home for a sleepover. Given the judgemental and perfectionist nature of Becky it is instant hate-at-first-site between Pinky and Becky, in addtion to having to hide the existence of Pinky from her card playing friends. Add a potential romantic interest for Becky to the scenario and the ingredients are all there for an all-out battle for Mike.The basic tenet of the play is don't judge a book by its cover and people aren't always as they appear to be. | |||||
