Synopsis: It is ostensibly a reminiscence about Mr. McDermott's youth; specifically, one day when he was about fifteen years old a poltergeist visited his home and wreaked bizarre but temporary havoc on it. Around this tale Mr. McDermott weaves stream-of-consciousness musings about his family, his unrequited search for a "beloved," the creation of this play, and the current, cluttered disarray of his existence. nytheatre.com | ||||
