Biography of Andrew Nicholas Compton Taylor

Andrew Taylor is a London based playwright and theatre director. His plays have been staged at such diverse venues as Battersea Arts Studio, Etcetera Theatre, Wimbledon Studio Theatre, the Polka Theatre, the Edinburgh Festival and the Pleasance, Islington. Andrew studied Drama and Education at Cambridge University. He read his MA in Playwriting Studies at Birmingham University in 2000. In 2004 he established 1215 Productions with musician and composer Desmond O'Connor; their first original work, FAILED STATES, became Time Out's Critics' Choice in Oct/Nov 2006. Andrew teaches English at a school in Surrey, and sits on the Soho Theatre's Script Reading Panel.
