Synopsis: A thriller based in an old folks home where people are disenfranchised, treated like children, fed like animals and almost totally ignored. But beware of the seemingly insignificant. They can band together and create a power force. They do, and the result is a microcosm of power; the struggles, politics and chicanery necessary for survival. Despots underestimate the will to survive and guerillas have sprouted up in the most unlikely spots. In Last Things an underlying humor aids this thrust and leavens the anger.

Synopsis: Caustically comedic evolving into violence. Hamish, perennial student, returns home for his mother's funeral. His loutish father has remarried a woman not much older than Hamish. Hamish has returned not so much for the funeral as to re-establish ties with his younger brother, Devon, whom he fears will have all the individuality stamped out of him as a result of being raised by "John Wayne on a cattle drive." A hostile ugly secret taints the household that only Hamish and his father Know and can work out. A sardonic, barbed exchange gives way to violence and a lesson on giving and taking.. . love arid responsibility.
