Frederic Tacon is a playwright, composer, lyricist, director, and award-winning sound designer and performer in the Greater Cincinnati, Ohio / Northern Kentucky area. The Village Players in Fort Thomas, Kentucky, premiered his first children's musical, LESTER THE JESTER, in 2005, and he will be directing his second play, CLARA AND THE NUTCRACKER, there as well in December, 2008.

Synopsis: | In a new twist on the classic tale by E. T. A. Hoffman, CLARA AND THE NUTCRACKER centers around Clara, the spoiled daughter of a wealthy doctor, and the unique gift she receives on Christmas Eve. After insisting on an extra present, Clara receives a Nutcracker doll from her Godfather, Herr Drosselmeyer, and is sent on a journey to a kingdom where toys and sweets come to life. Synopsis: | LESTER THE JESTER is the story of a jester in love with a princess. Her father, King Wigglesworth, plans to announce a prince for her to marry, but instead she is kidnapped by the evil Sir Rocco Wretched and his henchman, Divot. Lester, along with Tumblestump, an over zealous clumsy page, Jumpstart, a scaredy cat thief, and the king, disguised as the peasant, Wiggle, set off to rescue the princess. Can they overcome a cave of mazes, a fierce dragon, and Sir Rocco to say the day? Of course they can! Along the way, they all learn a lesson about being true to yourself and about what it really means to be a prince. | |||||
