Synopsis: | This is a play about the town of Sejny, which bestrides the border of Poland, Lithuania, and Belarus. It is performed in Polish, Lithuanian, Yiddish and Russian with projected English subtitles. It is the theater component of the "Borderlanders Finding Their Voice" festival, organized by the Polish Cultural Institute to present the ideas and practices of the Borderland Foundation in building bridges between cultures and ethnicities. The arts events of the festival are all devoted to themes of multiple identity, exile, immigration, and the arts' creative role in multicultural community work | |||||
