Synopsis:

A fantasy in two acts based on the fairy tale by E.T.A. Hoffmann, involving intricate mechanisms and wonderful transformations. A new version of the famous fairy tale fills the play with a specific atmosphere. Exact psychological portraits of the characters give the plot the features of reality. Virtuoso metamorphoses of the magic action are connected with concentrated analysis. Philosophical sounding is harmoniously combined with subtle irony and naughtiness. The play is of interest both to grown ups and children.
