Linda Felton Steinbaum, a Los Angeles native, has a master's degree from USC and is an award winning, produced and published playwright. She is currently a member of the Alliance of Los Angeles Playwrights, as well as the Dramatists Guild and the Writer's Guild of America, West. Over the years she has participated in numerous playwriting workshops at UCLA and various theatres around the Los Angeles area. After co-writing a screenplay and selling it to Walt Disney Studios, Linda became interested in playwriting. Her first full length play, A TOUCH-TONE AWAY, was performed at a coffee "salon" in Studio City. Linda's award nominated one-act play, SHIFTING GEARS, was selected to be presented at the 2004 annual "NoHo Festival of the Arts" in Los Angeles. Later that year it was produced by Lonny Chapman's Group Repertory Theatre. In the summer of 2006 SHIFTING GEARS was performed at the Cedar Lane Stage in Bethesda, Maryland. In 2005, Linda's wacky full length comedy NEW AND IMPROVED was given a staged reading and limited engagement at The Group Repertory Theatre. Also in 2005, her drama, FAT CHANCE was produced by J.E.T. Productions-West at the NoHo Actor's Studio. FAT CHANCE was produced again in May of 2006 by the Sierra Madre Playhouse and was extended. MUSTANG SALLY was presented in 2007 at the Whitefire Theatre in Sherman Oaks, California and headlined for six weeks. In March of 2008 MUSTANG SALLY was published by Samuel French, Inc. Most recently, Linda was the recipient of the All Original Playwrights Workshop Fellowship Award for her full length drama, FUEL HOUSE. The award included a fully produced and financed staged reading.
