Synopsis: | Set in the Southeastern United States, ARCHER tells the story of Kerry Travis' return home from twelve years of self-imposed exile. A Child Services caseworker, he has been called back to the town of Archer to testify in a particularly grisly child abuse trial. But that's all in a day's work for Kerry; his real goal in Archer is to spend some time with the great love of his life, Nicole Reese (whether she's aware of her status in his affection is unclear). But things turn truly macabre when Kerry is hit with the news that he left a son behind in Archer, currently in the care of his sadistic mother and the good-old-boy next door. As Kerry struggles to come to terms with this revelation, he finds he must grapple with the memories of his own childhood, and the abuse he suffered at the hands of both parents.

Synopsis: | The Boards takes place between the end of the day's rehearsal and the call for places in mega-movie star Rose Bentley's stage debut. Rose has put up the dough for the world premiere of The Persian Stain, a story of intimacy between two servants born of anguish and struggle at the global level. For this undertaking, Rose has assembled a group of professional theater artists, all of whom are amenable to her vision with one major exception. This thorn in Ms. Bentley's side is Mr. T. Ronald Holland. Tom, as he's known outside of his union, is the man with whom Rose will share the stage if the show must, in fact, go on.

| ||||||
Genre: | n/a | |||||
| Parts: | Male | 3 | Female | 2 | ||
Parts other: | - | |||||
Notes: | - | |||||
Synopsis: | Conspirators is the story of Edmond St. John Danvers-Carew, both of them. The story of the play operates simultaneously in two worlds-a contemporary American metropolis and a 19th Century English drawing room-where we follow the misadventures of a young man named Edmond trying to gain his footing in life. American Edmond arrives at FutureTemp with the hope of finding easy employment-modeling, perhaps-but instead finds dangerous romance with Carolyn, a worker at the office. English Edmond must respond to the pressure put on him by his obscenely proper mother, Lady Eleanor Danvers-Carew, as she tries to mold her son into a gentleman-one capable of paying off his late father's considerable debt. Lurking about in both worlds is a Fifth Character, a sort of devilish jack of all trades, who seems determined to frustrate Edmond's every move, with consequences ranging from the comic to the genuinely disastrous. Conspirators is a story about the courage it takes to leave the nest, to try to make one's way in a world that is bizarre, cruel, treacherous, and nonetheless, wonderful.

Notes: | - | |||||
Synopsis: | Gucci, the Hong Kong Crocodile is a fantasy based loosely on actual events. Gucci is a very real female crocodile, who squatted in a series of ditches in suburban Hong Kong for over eight months during 2003 and 2004. The play is the story of a group of hapless (and fictional) human beings who gather around Gucci with their various agendas. In the end a very philosophical animal, Gucci would have each of us see that life is not nearly as complicated as we imagine it to be, and that we are all at our best when we are most content.
