Jennifer Sale began writing plays at Poudre High School in her hometown of Fort Collins, Colorado. She then moved eastward to study journalism and poetry at Northwestern University in Evanston, Illinois, where Profs. Mary Kinzie, Brian Bouldrey, and Averil Curdy helped her to develop a voice and style. Currently, she is scanning pages for inspiration in the extensive reading she does at her job as a copy editor at Encyclopaedia Britannica in Chicago.
