Synopsis: | "The Dinner" is a warm hearted comedy about two couples The Smiths and the Jones, who have been friends for years. The recent break up of Amy and Chris Smith after twelve years together has put a strain on the four for the last three months and the Jones have grown weary of being in the middle of the split. Amy's new romance with a local DJ and a single Chris constantly moping around their home, doesn't help. In an effort to get Chris off the couch and back into the dating world, the Jones invite Lauren a cute single acquaintance to dinner to meet her. Words, emotions and food flies when Amy finds out and shows up with her DJ in tow. "The Dinner" has been described by audience members as deliciously funny and relates to the challenges of couples everywhere in the high-tech competitively fast-paced world of the 21st century. The only difference is the Smiths and Jones are gay. "The Dinner" is about love, friendship and mutual respect - with lamb and a little mint sauce of course | |||||
