It's August, it's Cornwall and it's raining. At least it was raining but it is expected to brighten up sooner or later possibly. Jake and his second wife, Miranda, plus his two teenage children together with her father and his mother are all away on the annual (compulsory) family holiday and are currently confined to the awning of their caravan. "What are we going to do today?" is the question on everyone's lips, but the answer is different depending on age, agility and attitude. The children are bored, the old folks are boring and the parents are, as ever, trying to make the best of the self inflicted misery. At times the conversation drifts in various directions and so do the children - but a few home truths are divulged, like Granddad's affair, Jake's previous life and a curious set of coincidences are uncovered.

Roguespiere, the evil leader of the revolution is thwarted at every step of the way by the incompetence of his colleagues (including Madame Guillotine and J. Lieure, a prison guard). Just two Musketeers, Ampere and Watt, oppose him, together with a couple of dastardly English aristocrats, Lord D`Arlington and Sir Percy Vere. The symbols of French aristocracy Queen Anne Sanchez-Vicario, Joan of Arkwright, Milady de Summer and their 'friend' Cardinal Murphy Murphy-O`Murphy change sides frequently but despite this the revolution is undermined and eventually destroyed by the mysterious Scarlet Pansy and the strange keeper of the bells, Quasim Modot. This musical extravaganza is suitable for everyone, including children who are not studying history at GCSE level and adults who can`t remember any of their history!

Set in a private ward of a City General Hospital sometime in the 1970's - there is one bed, two patients and three members of staff - oh, how times have changed! Barclay Barrington-Brown, a private patient, is seriously ill and seriously wealthy whereas Fred Hayes isn't. Even so Fred, an NHS patient, is put in a private ward with Barrington-Brown causing rivalry and confusion but eventually a lasting friendship... of sorts! Pretty young Nurse Winfield, on her first day in the hospital, finds it challenging looking after two patients with only one bed, not to mention meeting the demands of Ward Sister MacDonald, the most fearsome person ever to wield a bedpan. Meanwhile the hospital continues to function, rumours continue to circulate and blankets continue to disappear with the help of Dewi Evans, a hospital porter. In the end they all live happily ever after.. or do they?
