Armen Pandola is a playwright and director. He was awarded the WALNUT STREET THEATRE'S EDWIN FORREST PLAYWRIGHTING AWARD for his play FORREST: A RIOT OF DREAMS . Armen has been writing plays since his days at the University of Miami where he won a Schubert Fellowship in playwriting. A practicing attorney, Armen has infused his plays with an imaginative realism seldom found on the stage. His innovative use of film techniques on stage has distinguished his plays. His dialogue and understanding of relationships have made his plays both popular and ground-breaking. Unafraid to tackle the issues of our times, Pandola's plays are about people who confront these issues: terrorism, pornography, tabloid journalism, the decline of personal freedom and the rise of selfishness as a way of life and disabled Iraqi war vets.
