Marc Palmieri attended Wake Forest University on a baseball scholarship after being drafted by The Toronto Blue Jays out of high school in 1989. He received his M.A. in Creative Writing at The City College of New York, where he was awarded the Jerome Lowell DuJur Award in Creative Writing in 2003 and now teaches Playwriting, World Humanities, and Creative Writing. He is the author of three published plays, POOR FELLAS, CARL THE SECOND and LEVITTOWN, all of which premiered in New York City. Portions of his plays have been published in THE BEST STAGE MONOLOGUES FOR MEN 2002, THE BEST STAGE SCENES OF 2002, and THE BEST STAGE SCENES of 2007 (all Smith & Kraus, Inc.).
