Synopsis: theatre piece based on a poem by Ellen Stewart and inspired by the Old Testament, adapted and directed by Andrea Paciotto. It depicts a world where centuries of conflicts, detailed throughout the ancient scriptures, have led to turmoil and upheaval. Starting from Stewarts poem, Paciotto with the Jacavaz Company develop an interdisciplinary performance style that concentrates on human destructive, violent impulses and the unsolved contradictions that have plagued contemporary politics. Jacavaz mixes live and electronic music with new media staging to create risky, cutting-edge theater - nytheatre.com | ||||
