Synopsis: | One Charles Pooter of Upper Holloway, a really very ordinary middle-class clerk with lofty social aspirations, has decided that the world deserves to hear his diary whether they like it or not. He has one night, three actors and an empty stage to impart the dubious anecdotes of his humdrum existence to anyone who will listen. Pooters relentless stream of unwittingly toe-curling social gaffs makes it impossible not to warm to this hapless man. Adapted from the hilarious comedy of manners of George Grossmith, this world premiere production see four men uproaringly recreate the trials and tribulations of Pooters monotonous marriage and daily grind of Victorian London, resulting in a riotously energetic and physical tour de force. | |||||
