Synopsis: | The White Rose Resistance To Hitler And The Holocaust. In 1942, students at Munich University began to produce leaflets denouncing Hitler and criticising Germans who sat passively while the Nazi party went about its grim work. They were a tight-knit group who were denounced in 1943 by ajanitor who saw them flinging the leaflets from a balcony. They were arrested and the leaders were beheaded. Their memory, however, was not allowed to die. When the RAF dropped six million leaflets over Germany later that year, the text on them was the same as the last White Rose leaflet. | |||||
