Synopsis: | Following the death of her mother, a fragile 17-year-old girl, Christine, comes to live with her Aunt Marie and Uncle Dan. Upon her arrival, Marie begins to show off her considerable culinary skills. Together she and Dan initiate Christine into the pleasures of the palate. This exploration of appetite in their evening ritual begins to blur the boundaries between adult and child, thought and action, feeding and consuming. The play's climax lives in the intersection of these in-between spaces -- where the child becomes an adult; where thought creates action; where feeding becomes consuming.

Synopsis: | When a young producer stumbles into town looking for stories and a fresh start, he believes he's found both in Ruth. Her made-for-TV tale captures his attention -- a broke young widow in a rural Kentucky town, unable to access the trust fund set up for her children after her husband's murder. But neither of them has told the other the whole truth, and a past tainted by racism threatens to destroy Ruth's already shaky existence. This story is interspersed with memorable monologues from fans and critics ofThe Dukes of Hazzard, who blow apart the Southern stereotypes that tend to define Ruth's world.

Synopsis: | A photograph captures and documents a single moment in time and space -- a snapshot of history, of a reality bounded by the photo's frame. But what lies outside, beyond, behind the photograph? And what stories, memories, or associations does an image of place inspire? In this multi-writer project from Actors Theatre of Louisville, a diverse assortment of talented playwrights encounter and transform Mount Rushmore, South Dakota, 1969, a compelling image of the monument by renowned photographer Lee Friedlander. Their thought-provoking scenes and monologues range from delightful comedy to utterly serious tragedy, each approaching the photo's themes through a new lens.
