Synopsis:

Class A is a play about drugs and addictions that have become the embodiments of us all. It centers on four addicts, each partnered with their drug of choice (personified as a separate character), and the conversations between these drugs and their respective addicts lead to startling conclusions and hilarious revelations. In the play, four addicts sit at separated class desks, each with two chairs centered downstage while Dorey, the drug dealer, pimp, and teacher of the class takes her pupils and the audience through a journey exploring various aspects of these addicts' lives, eventually revealing their fate. An inquiry into the public and cultural space through which our notions of good, evil, right, wrong, joy and sorrow circulate, Class A is a powerful meditation on human emotion in the landscape of addiction and will feature an exciting array of avant garde costumes.
