In 2004 Montserrat Mendez was named one of the top 30 writers in the Nicholl Fellowship for Screenwriter by the Academy of Motion Pictures Arts and Sciences. Since then he has he makes a living as a screenwriter/tv writer who writes theatre on the side. His plays have been performed in theatre companies large and small all over the U.S. including the Madlab Theatre Company of Ohio, City Theatre of Miami, Manhattan Theatre Source. He is a resident playwright of both Whirled Peas Production and Manhattan Theatre Source in New York City.

Synopsis: | Taking place seven years after the events of The Importance of Being Earnest. Thoroughly Stupid Things is a hilarious sequel that tackles several theatrical conventions. The second act is done in glorious, Molliere Rhyme and the play contains two hysterical musical numbers. When Gwendolen and Cecily suspect that their husbands are having an affair with a French Lounge Singer, "A Miss Bibi LaFlam" they join the Men's Club to spy on their husbands, which leads the women into a world of trouble you can't even begin to imagine. | |||||
