Synopsis: Downtown is roiling with civil unrest or a terrorist attack and due to the media blackout, SILVIE, TODD, and MIKE, don't know which. At Silvie's urging the well meaning young filmmakers take it upon themselves to be the documentarians of the big event that is unfolding underneath their fire escape. Over stale pizza and beer they form their grand cinematic scenario to be but Todd and Mike clearly have different visions of their movie as you can see by the video projections that pop up intermittently throughout the play. They ignore Silvie yet vie for her affections while she tries to convince them that she is worthy of being an equal partner in the project and before you can say "action" they end up in BUCK'S office. Buck is a high priced entertainment lawyer who besides seducing Silvie, has ideas of his own on how to make a cutting edge, society-changing documentary. The Big Deal is about how the actions born from the ego and not from the heart have explosive results and beware of whom you make a deal with. Oh, and of course, love. | ||||
