| Synopsis: | Actors and Poets Group, a New York-based nonprofit theater company, is presenting Voices From Guantanamo, a theatrical adaptation of poetry written by detainees held at the U.S. detention center at Guantánamo Bay, Cuba. The poems were written with little expectation of ever reaching an audience beyond a small circle of fellow prisoners. Of the thousands of verses that were composed, the lawyers managed to get 22 cleared for release by the U.S. Military after painstaking efforts - nytheatre.com | |||||
