Synopsis: | In this multimedia contemporary adaptation of A Christmas Carol, a young woman in corporate America has lost sight of the meaning of Christmas. As Christmas Eve approaches she is haunted not only by the ghosts of Christmas but by the ghosts and shadows in her own life. The Ghosts of Jacob Marley, Christmas Past, Present, and Yet to Come are all played by puppets and the production features live music and Christmas carols. Through this use of puppets and projections Scrooge is forced to confront the love and music she walked away from and the bleak and fatal future she is chasing in the name of success. Synopsis: | This is a family show, which will genuinely appeal to both adults and children alike. It is written and performed in a style which is closely allied to the traditional English pantomime that is occasionally ribald but unerringly decent. Shades of Commedia and Benny Hill may be found in the show, with Pete's mother played by a man. Bruce the Lion would rather be King of Comedy than King of the Jungle and he's channeling Dangerfield whilst our villain, Baron Bigbutt is a real 'no ifs or b. . .'. Oops. Just don't say the word B*@t around 'Stingy'. You thought the Grinch was grumpy? Scrooge contemptible? Bring your Grammy or Rugrat, either way the infectious humor will keep both amused and while you watch your kids being entertained you may also feel that your teeth are not being pulled. We are so confident that you will enjoy the show that we will offer a total no quibble refund to anyone who doesn't have a great time. | |||||
