Synopsis:

Wilfred and Bobby Gantry a retired couple live on a houseboat in Kashmir. He has retired from the Indian Police Force. They are most put out when an inferior houseboat moors alongside theirs and more so when they discover that it is owned by Anglo-Indian Mrs. O'Neill with whom they had had unpleasant dealings in the past. A young Army officer arrives to evacuate them as the Chinese communist forces are approaching - but they refuse to leave.
