Synopsis:

Martin has another side to his life of which his formidable wife Steph is totally unaware - mainly because she is too preoccupied with her own interests to notice. Gary is looking for something different and so answers an ad in the personal columns of the paper - only to find himself at the centre of Martin's convoluted life. This tale of confused identities and family secrets is further complicated by the arrival of a young stranger who has an impact on everybody's life.

Synopsis:

Synopsis:

'Man' Fred shares his home with a diverse group of other characters - the dominant and aristocratic Kath; the energetic and loyal Doug; the innocent Harry; the promiscuous Buck; and the sharp tongued Poll. Man Fred adds to the existing tensions by bringing the light-brained Goldie home one evening. Drama and tragedy follow during which Man Fred meets and falls in love with Ros; a move which hastens the breakup of the household.
