Synopsis: The story of NEXT! So you want the part? Well it's about auditions. In act 1 scene 1 we see the ladies converging on the Green room to check the current posters and upcoming audition news. Their behaviour leaves a lot to be desired, especially Mirella, the fading opera singer with voice issues. She tries to put everyone off coming to the auditions. After this comes the scene with the theatre manager Rupert Wilson and the secretary Shirley.Act 2, scene 1 sees the singers and dancers audition for a new West End musical called "All My Life Here Now" a story about the ups and downs of a woman's hard life in the east end of London and how she ends up against all odds, as the leading lady in a West End musical! Next is the debate about the ladies virtues when Philippe De St Croix and Andy Peterson share their thoughts on the auditions. The audience then gets to vote for one lady, and while we are counting; our busker comes on to open Act 3 finale. The leading ladies will actually be working hard during the show to genuinely win the votes and won't know who wins until it's called on the cans 5 minutes before the finale(X factor style). The audience won't know until the lady walks on stage! It's likely to be a different lady every night. Exciting for all. Reality TV hits the theatre! | ||||
