Synopsis:

*Festival Award Winner* When prostitute Kate arrives to ply her evening trade on her usual patch, she is annoyed to find alcoholic beggar Alex sitting by a lamp post. He claims he is waiting for a boy he has befriended, but Kate discovers other reasons for his presence. As they skirmish over territorial rights and argue about Kate's regular client, Tony, they reveal the failed relationships that led to their present lifestyles. Unexpected connections between them emerge, leading to the prospect of an unlikely partnership and escape from the trap of their lives.
