David Lefkowitz, born 23 January 1964, has hosted the weekly radio program, Dave's Gone By, since Oct. 2002. Former managing editor of Playbill.com, he founded TotalTheater.com, co-publishes Performing Arts Insider theater journal, and has written about the arts for Back Stage, Show Business. Playbill and Long Island Pulse, among many others. His plays include the award-winning Kandide, the Moliere-style farce, The Triple Wedding, and the solo comedy, Shalom Dammit! An Evening with Rabbi Sol Solomon. He holds two masters degrees, one from NYU in Dramatic Writing, and one from the University of Northern Colorado in Theater Education. His BFA is from NYU in Film and Television Production. Born in Brooklyn and raised on Long Island, David Lefkowitz now resides in Greeley, Colorado, with his wife, Joyce Weil, their two dogs, and their many potatoes.
