With almost fifty years experience in professional showbusiness, David Lee, Managing Director of Sheer Enchantment, is one of the UK's leading pantomime-producing companies, has presented over two hundred pantomimes, numerous lavish production floor shows for cruise lines, cabaret and theatre tours, and has engaged a myriad of UK stars as well as international celebrities that include Craig Charles (Red Dwarf/Coronation St), Wendy Craig, Australian Soap and Pop Chart topper Natalie Imbruglia, Keith Harris & Orville, Gladiators, Wayne Sleep and Alvin Stardust; and late greats Jon Pertwee (Dr Who) Kathy Staff (Nora Batty) Jeremy Beadle and legendary Goon, Spike Milligan. His inspiration for pantomime stems from visiting the Alhambra Theatre in Bradford from the age of four, never forgetting the magic of those shows, produced by the 'King of Pantomime' Francis Laidler. In 1995 he was head-hunted by the Rank Organisation to devise and lead their production department for the international group's holiday centre portfolio, servicing Butlin's Haven and Warner Holidays as well as their Oasis Leisure Villages. He has also produced a UK tour of "Oh Yes It Is - Looney Tunes Live on Stage!" for Warner Bros. Hollywood. Show devisor, director, scriptwriter, composer, former singer and actor David is proud to be a member of the most prestigious showbusiness fraternity, The Grand Order of Water Rats.
