Synopsis: The story of Merlin, with an unusual perspective from the original Celtic sources, "with extra songs and knitting". King Vortigern summons the Saxons to Britain to help deal with his problem with invasion, but once they have driven out the invaders, the Saxons decide to stay, and their leader Hengist drives Vortigern out and makes himself king instead! As the Saxons terrorise the land, (and sing evils songs!) a sorcerer tells Uther Pendragon to journey to Caermerddin to find the one man who can help free Britain from its oppressors. . . | ||||
